Still working :)

I haven't updated my blog in a while, so I though I'd share a few things I've done recently, and some older stuff that I use to draw :)
Here is the birthday card I recently cut for my dad :) it is nothing complicated, but I think it works!

This was a quick piece I did at university, our restrictions where it had to be made on a paper plate, I decided to make a Peacock, because hey, its my last name :) I bought two and made this:

Finally, Today I was just reorganising my art unit, and I found all these old piece I have done/started, they aren't cut outs but the line art piece I think I will colour as I really like it :) :

                      

Finished Studying

My three year course at university is over! it feels like it went so fast, I've past everything and think I'll probably get a 2-2 maybe a 2-1, my dissertation was my lowest mark but that's not really surprising! So now I'm out looking for a job, building my own website and getting some promotional materials together!

This was a one day project we had to start us on our self promotion brief, which is also the last project of uni for me :) 7 weeks to go!!

Happy New Year!

Apologise for the lack of posting! after I finished my dissertation/projects I got home for Christmas and have been busy being ill for the last couple of weeks! that aside, I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :)

The two images I'm sharing with you guys today are roughs for my on going project that is due in a few weeks time. The project asks us to illustrate two songs by the same artist, it sounds easy but oh it isn't! I chose the band Korpiklaani and the songs are:

The image at the top with the wolves is for Pine woods, I wanted to create a sort of "Where's Wally?" of the forest animals, this is a small version of the final which will be about A1.

Below is the song I'm finding harder to illustrate, Vodka, My final outcome will be a laser cut piece of wood, that, ideally, would be placed in a tavern arch or the top of a door, I've tried to create my own Nordic green man, and have it a bit rough and rebellious, this cutting is and experiment of my central design:
